ABSTRACT
Introduction: Due to elevated blood sugar, diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disease with diverse etiologies. The purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between diabetics’ haemoglobin electrophoretic pattern, platelet lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR). This cross-sectional study was conducted on a total of 100 participants, 50 of whom had been diagnosed as having diabetes and the remaining 50 were nondiabetic patients who were chosen from a consenting population at a private hospital in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
