Background: Hematological malignancies are group of cancers that arise from malignant transformation of cells of the bone marrow or lymphoid system. This study is aimed at determining the distribution of hematological malignancies, their clinical presentations and overall survival of subjects. Prospective cohort design with purposive sampling technique was employed in this study. Materials and method: Thirty-four newly diagnosed hematological malignancy patients presenting at University of Calabar Teaching Hospital were enrolled. Immunohistochemistry was employed for assessment of cluster of differentiation (CD) markers.
